Flax seeds contain 31-49% oil, which includes glycerides of fatty acids: linolenic 50%, linoleic 30%, oleic 15%, palmitic and stearic acids. The protein content is up to 27%. Therefore, flax oilcake and oil are widely used for fodder purposes.
